PAKBOATS TRAVELS

Hi Alv,

Daniela and I spent another great summer (our 6th) paddling Johnstone Strait, Discovery Passage and Nootka Sound off Vancouver Island in our 16.5 ft. PakCanoe. We had fun running with tidal currents in places like “Hole in the Wall” and “Surge Narrows”…similar to class 2 river rapids, but with boils, whirlpools and eddies instead of haystacks and pillows. Our “rubber ducky” (our endearing term) was stable and dry and much more forgiving than any hard-shell tripping canoe would have been. The ocean kayakers, watching us from shore, had to wait for slack tide and quiet waters! This summer we are planning to canoe The Stikine (The Great River) and the waters of Haida Gwaii…Which brings me to the question. Do you happen to know of any used or demo PakCanoes in good condition. Our tripping partners may be interested.

Best Regards; Doug and Daniela Bell
