Folding canoes are the obvious choice if you want to paddle in inaccessible places.

When Rolf Kraiker took his family on a trip down the North West Territories' Horton River, their group of six people, canoes and other gear could fly to the river in one single engine plane, saving hundreds of dollars on air transportation. Once on the river, the PakCanoes "performed extremely well" and contributed to the trip of a lifetime. See more on this trip and many others at PakCanoe Adventures.

Our own paddling adventure took us to three rivers in the arctic Lapland region of Norway and Finland. Five PakCanoes traveled with us on commercial flights, ships, busses, cars and by float plane and let us enjoy our trip instead of worrying about logistics.
